Just working out some details on a larger wedding portrait I'm about to work on; researching how to capture the color and lighting of a near noon, summer sunny day illuminating faces; how will skin tones link in highlights and shadows, reflected light and direct light? How will it affect skin and hair tones, clothing and teeth? Also wanted to resolve structure and modeling questions for the final. 

Ron's Grandparents

Pictured above are several details of the finish, the whole finished piece, and the finished piece next to the reference painting. The painting was commissioned as a gift for the grandmother of a co-worker, pictured with her husband of 60 years, who died in 2010. Ron says she was thrilled with the painting.  :)
